Nate Kaeding

Nate Kaeding is the most decorated kicker in Iowa football history and was on our top-30 Hawkeyes of all-time list because of it. With the Hawkeyes he a two-time All-Big Ten kicker, consensus All-American, and the Lou Groza Award winner. During the 2002 season, Kaeding led the Hawks in scoring with 120 points.

Those 120 points came off 21 field goals (out of 24 attempts) and 57 extra points (out of 58 attempts).

The Iowa City native would finish his Iowa football career with six kicking records.

After his Hawkeyes career, Kaeding was selected in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers where he would spend almost his entire career. During his NFL tenure, Kaeding hit 86.1% of his field goals (9th best all-time) and was selected to two Pro Bowls and was named an All-Pro twice.
