Iowa football: Top five players on the 2019 Hawkeye’s roster

The Iowa football team has the potential to be great in 2019. Here are the top five players on the Hawkeye’s talented roster.
If you’ve read my writing before, you know I try to stay positive and look at scenarios in which the Iowa football team could have an amazing season. Call me a homer, but with the Iowa football team, greatness is always a possibility as is a 7-5 or 8-4 record. It’s the nature of the beast when being a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
That being said, I am excited about this season. The Hawkeyes have some great talent at the cornerstone positions required for success. In fact, the arguably have top players in the nation at three positions despite losing the nation’s top two tight ends and possibly the nation’s best safety from last season.
It’s this immense amount of talent that gets me excited for 2019. To be fair, picking the top three guys was easy, but determining the entire five was a bit of a challenge given how good this roster is.
