The Iowa football team is the new TE U, and it could be getting better as they try to secure commits from two TE prospects to join Elijah Yelverton in 2020.

This weekend, the Iowa football team hosted a huge recruiting weekend with many prospective recruits visiting the school and getting to know the program. One of those recruits was 4-star tight end prospect Luke Lachey, who is listed as a top-250 recruit in the nation.

It sounds like his visit went well and 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction has him selection the Iowa football program, but he isn’t the only tight end the Hawks are after.

In fact, they’ve already secured a commitment from one top tight end, and they are well in the running for Theo Johnson, a 4-star tight end prospect from Canada.

If the Hawks managed to snag each of these guys to join Texas native Elijah Yelverton, they may just put together the best tight end recruiting class (on paper) in the history of the program.

Here’s a breakdown of each player.
