The hatred between the Iowa football team and Nebraska is growing so it’s fun when we take their in-state guys. Here are the top 3 recruits from Nebraska.

If you go on Twitter these days, you are almost guaranteed to find a Nebraska fan talking crap about the Iowa football program. It’s honestly a bit comical.

For a team coming off a putrid 4-8 season in a relatively weak Big Ten West division, they sure feel pretty confident about their team, and if you try to hit Nebraska fans back with stats, they either resort to speaking about the good old days (i.e. the ’90s) or talk about the potential of this team with All-World (their words, not mine) quarterback Adrian Martinez and the revered Scott Frost who was able to turn around a terrible UCF team.

Let’s face it, Nebraska is 1-5 in their last 6 games against Iowa. Those are the stats that matter.

We are still three months from college football games, and Nebraska fans act like they already won the 2019 Big Ten West division and Adrian Martinez is the frontrunner for Heisman Trophy.

Now to be fair, I don’t think Nebraska is going to do poorly this season, and I do think Adrian Martinez is good, but let’s slow the roll a little bit.

Maybe focus on beating South Alabama in your first game this year before you start talking about being a College Football Playoff sleeper.

Either way, for sane Iowa football fans who have the ability to be excited, yet realistic about Iowa football expectations, this behavior is laughable.

Another thing that is laughable is when the Iowa football team is able to steal recruits right from Nebraska’s henhouse. Sure, Nebraska has done it to Iowa too. Every team has taken recruits from other schools backyards (just ask the Minnesota Gophers who can’t seem to keep half their in-state recruits).

Today though, we are focusing on the top three recruits the Iowa football program has taken from the state of Nebraska in the Kirk Ferentz era.
