Jonathon Babineaux

Jonathon Babineaux was a senior defensive tackle and went out with a bang as the 2005 Capital One Bowl was his final appearance in an Iowa football uniform.

After a fantastic career with the Hawkeyes, the 6’2” 300 pound Babineaux was selected at the end of the second round by the Atlanta Falcons, the place where he called home for the entirety of his professional career.

Although he never made a Pro Bowl, Babineaux had an incredibly productive career playing 12 seasons in the NFL and making 133 starts for the Falcons. His final career numbers include 393 tackles and 27 sacks.

Outside of football, Babineaux has been an awesome member of the community. Alongside his brother, Jordan Babineaux, Jonathon started the Babineaux Family Foundation, an organization with an emphasis on helping those impacted by chronic autoimmune disease lupus. The organization also hands out yearly college scholarships and participates in back to school programs.

In addition to staying busy with his foundation, Jonathon and his brother founded Two Brothers Productions where they have partnered with actors like Kevin Hart to produce movies.
