The Iowa Hawkeyes are joining Iowa State, Drake, and UNI to play in The Basketball Tournament this summer as Iowa United. Here is the full team.

After a week of daily announcements for the remaining five players, the Iowa United roster is officially set and ready to go, and it’s quite a good collection of in-state players that are ready to compete for the $2 million winner-take-all tournament dubbed The Basketball Tournament.

This Iowa United roster is loaded from top to bottom with scorers. Collectively, these nine players combined to score over 12,000 collegiate points and one of those players owns their school’s record for career points scored.

The Iowa United, formed by General Manager Matthew Crawford, was designed specifically with the intent of winning multiple games in The Basketball Tournament while also doing it for a fantastic cause (Fore The Veterans) and bringing together the great state of Iowa. So far, they are on the right track. This roster is talented and stacked.

There are two former Iowa State Cyclones, two former Iowa Hawkeyes, one former UNI Panther, three former Drake Bulldogs, and a former Kirkwood College turned UW-Milwaukee Panther on this roster that features plenty of lethal three-point shooting and great frontcourt defense.

Now, I know some Iowa basketball fans may not stand the site of Hawks playing with Cyclones and vice versa, but it’s great for the state of Iowa, and it gives this team a better chance to make a run in the TBT unlike in previous years where the Hilton Magic have fallen earlier than expected.

Here’s a breakdown of the roster by school.
