The Iowa basketball team is expected to return 6 of their 7 leading scorers next season. They will be joined by five incredibly talented players.

This past season was filled with ups and downs but at the end of the day, the Iowa basketball team managed to advance to the round of 32 in the 2019 NCAA Tournament before falling to a very good Tennessee Volunteers team. Unlike many teams that were in the tournament this year though, the Iowa basketball team is expected to return all five starters from this year’s 23-12 team and 6 of their 7 leading scorers.

As it stands right now, Fran McCaffery’s squad is only losing two players: Nicholas Baer who is out of eligibility and Maise Dailey who recently decided to transfer.

While there are still a few players who could decide to depart, as it stands right now, the Iowa basketball team is in pretty good shape to make a run next season. What’s more exciting is that they will be joined by five talented scholarship players (three coming off redshirt and two coming from high school), all of which are good enough to make an immediate impact on most division-1 rosters.

Here is a rundown of each one of the five players joining this team come next season.
