#3 – Devyn Marble
Roy Devyn Marble, the son of legendary Iowa basketball player Roy Marble, had a great career with the Hawkeyes despite only taking the team to the NCAA Tournament once during his four years in Iowa City.
He started 103 games with the Hawks and finished his career among many of the Iowa basketball leaderboards. His 1,694 points ranks 5th all-time. Moreover, he is 6th in Hawkeyes history in assists and 7th in steals.
Marble was also twice named team captain, and was named to the All-Big Ten team twice (Sr – first team, Jr – second team).
Although not the most efficient shooter, Marble was a pure scorer who had the size (6’6”, 200 pounds) and athleticism to make college defenses look silly at any given moment.
Post-Iowa, Marble spent two seasons with the Orlando Magic, starting seven games before heading overseas to play professionally in the Lega Basket Series A, which is Italy’s top basketball league.
