Iowa basketball: Top five players in Fran McCaffery era
By Andrew Wade
#5 – Peter Jok
Undoubtedly there could be a couple of different guys here, but we went with Peter Jok because he was one of the best pure shooters the Iowa basketball team has had in the last decade.
The West Des Moines Valley product started 85 games for the Iowa basketball squad, and he was the only non-senior starting on the 2015-2016 squad that rose to #3 in the AP Poll midway through the season.
The following season, despite being the only upperclassmen in the lineup, Jok carried the Hawks to 19 wins, nearly making the NCAA Tournament. During that season he averaged 19.9 points per game on 47% shooting from the field and 38% from three-pointer.
At the conclusion of his career, he was 15th all-time in points scored and fourth in career three-pointers while being named Big Ten All-Conference first team once and the second team once.
Jok went undrafted in the NBA draft, but he latched on with the Northern Arizona Suns in the G-League where is averaging 14.4 points per game.
