Ja’Merez Bowen, Defensive Tackle, Indiana

Ja’Merez Bowen, a redshirt junior defensive tackle would be immediately eligible to play if he chooses to actually transfer away from Indiana. It would be the finishing touches on quite an interesting collegiate career though as he started as Cincinnati, transferred to Indiana and sat out a year and then would be transferring again to his third school.

In his three seasons with Indiana, Bowen made just six starts but did see game action in all three seasons. His stat line, however, isn’t exactly blowing up the stat sheet though. He has just 22 tackles and .5 sacks to his name in his career.

That being said, he is 6’4” and 310 pounds and would provide valuable experience and depth at the defensive tackle position where we have a potential transfer prospect (Daviyon Nixon) projected as the #3 defensive tackle and a redshirt freshman as the #4 defensive tackle.

Moreover, for Bowen it could make sense to stay within the Big Ten Conference.
