Outstanding Offers/Visits

The Hawkeyes have numerous offers still outstanding but here are the ones that are most serious at this point in addition to a few that are progressing towards what appears to be a scholarship offer.

Jermari Harris – The Iowa football program has made a late push for this Chicago, IL safety prospect. The 6’2” 175 pound prospect has the skill set that many believe would allow him to step in to the “cash” role that Amani Hooker played so well this season. While Harris is drawing interest from numerous programs, Iowa’s scholarship offer is the only offer from a power-five school at this time.

With Harris visiting this weekend, it is expected that he commits to the Hawks very soon. According to Hawkeye Report’s Rob Howe, that decision should come Monday.

Jacardia Wright – Wright has been projected to sign with the Iowa football team for some time now, but did not ultimately sign his letter of intent during the early signing period in December. He currently holds six offers, but it doesn’t appear that any teams are making late pushes to sign the 6’0”, 200 pound safety from Decatur, Illinois.

Kobe Myers – Meyers is a 6’1”, 190 pound athlete from Michigan who still has Iowa at the top of the list according to 247sports, however, the Michigan native just picked up a preferred walk-on opportunity with Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines. Will he side with the in-state team or head to Iowa City? At this point, it seems like the young man is excited to play for the Maize and Blue, and we haven’t heard many rumblings about Iowa making any additional pushes so we will see.

Taajhir McCallMcCall, a two-star defensive lineman from Florida received an offer from the Hawks late last week according to Rob Howe at Hawkeye Nation, and he is expected to be on campus this week for a visit. He currently holds six offers (including Iowa’s), most notably at Army and Navy.

Nick Nakwaasah – Nakwaasah has not yet been officially offered a scholarship from the Hawkeye coaching staff, but it seems like they are hot on his trail having visited him this past week. The Texas native is not currently rated in 247Sports database.
