Iowa football: Hawks putting finishing touches on class of 2019
By Andrew Wade
The official national signing day is Wednesday, February 6th and the Iowa football program is putting the finishing touches on an exciting class of 2019.
With the implementation of the early signing period, the Iowa football program has had the majority of its class of 2019 squared away for a little over a month, but the Hawkeyes are still actively working the recruiting front to put the finishing touches on this class.
With twenty players having already signed letters of intent to play for the Iowa football program, there aren’t many scholarships left, but there is still an abundance of talent that the Hawks could utilize to fill some gaps that have been created specifically on the defensive line and in the secondary.
Hopefully a few late pushes by the Iowa football staff can bring in some additional faces to the team.
One thing can certainly be said, the Iowa coaching stuff is leaving no stone unturned as they are pursuing scholarship players, preferred walk-on opportunities, and even a few graduate transfers.
Here’s a look at each of those areas and where Iowa stands heading into the February 6th signing day.
