The Iowa football team is ready to play their 10th game of the season against the Northwestern Wildcats. Here is the game-time info you must know.

As we have discussed much of this week, Saturday’s contest is an important one for both teams. The Iowa football team is virtually eliminated from winning the Big Ten West after the loss to Purdue, but they still have the opportunity to play in a great bowl game if they can finish this season strong. In a somewhat surprising move, the College Football Playoff committee ranked the Hawks #21 in their second released rankings, meaning Iowa is very much in the hunt for the Citrus Bowl if a few other teams take care of business.

Northwestern is heading to Kinnick the shocking front-runner for the Big Ten West title despite having already lost four games (their only conference loss was to Michigan). Furthermore, they hold the tiebreaker over both Wisconsin and Purdue who are the only two teams with a realistic shot at the title still.

Needless to say, this is a big game, and for Iowa football fans it would be a big game regardless–Northwestern has had the Hawks number in recent years.

Kickoff for this game is set at 130 PM in Kinnick Stadium, and it will be aired nationally on Fox. If you don’t have access to a television, but have internet, you can stream the game with a free week trial on FuboTV.

If you are one of the fortunate ones able to attend this game, bundle up because it’s going to be cold.

With this being Iowa’s first home game since the Maryland win, there figures to be plenty of prospects in the stands watching the Iowa football team. Rob Howe of Hawkeye Nation provides the tentative list of prospects here:

Needless to say, it’s a big game for Iowa’s season and for future Iowa seasons. Not playing in this game will be reserve tight end Shaun Beyer and starting fullback Brady Ross.

If you like to bet on college sports and more specifically the Iowa football team, oddsshark.com has Iowa listed as an 11-point favorite for this matchup.
