The Iowa football team is 24 hours away from their ninth game this season. Here is what you need to know before the Hawks take on the Boilermakers.

The Iowa football team is traveling to Indiana for another road game in their four out of five game road gauntlet. This time they are taking on a talented 4-4 Purdue Boilermakers. Looking at the record, you may think this will be like the Indiana game or the Minnesota game, but I caution you that it will not.

Purdue has a plethora of playmakers that we will be highlighting in a post later today that the Iowa football team needs to be aware of, and if anyone saw the scores from two weeks ago, you know Purdue can hang with any team in the country (spoiler alert: they beat Ohio State bad).

If you are fortunate enough to be attending the game in person, you will be getting some nice fall weather. The forecast is currently low-50’s and sunny.

For those of you not making the trip to Lafayette, Indiana, the game will be aired on ESPN2 with kickoff taking place at 2:30 PM CST. As with any week, if you don’t have access to ESPN2, you can always find the game on FuboTV with a free trial.

As can be expected, there will be a few guys missing from Saturday’s contest including starting fullback Brady Ross and corners Trey Creamer and Matt Hankins who are suspended for Saturday’s contest after a disturbance with the police last Saturday night.

Additionally, back up tight end Shaun Beyer will be out Saturday as told to media during Kirk’s media conference on Tuesday. Beyer suffered a non-contact injury.

If you want to spice up the game a little bit more and gamble on Iowa’s chances, the odds are currently in your favor according to oddsshark.com who has Iowa listed as a three point underdog.

Lastly, as we do every Saturday we will be posting live in-game takes through Saturday’s contest on our twitter feed as the Hawkeyes take on their third longest rival for the 89th team.

Go Hawks!
