We are 24 hours away from the #18 Iowa football team taking on #17 Penn State. Here are the odds, injuries, streaming info, and weather for the game.

This is a game I have had circled on the calendar for weeks. With Iowa sitting at 6-1, this is a pivotal matchup for Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa football team. Win this game, and the path to the playoffs gets a little clearer, lose this and Iowa is likely looking at 10-2 or 9-3 and a less important bowl game.

Kickoff for this game will be at 230 PM CST, and it will be aired on ESPN. As of right now, if you are interested in seeing the game in person, tickets are going for as low as $36, which could be a result of Penn State’s disappointing three-game stretch or it could be a result of the horrendous weather that is predicted to ensue.

According to accuweather.com, it’s going to be a chilly and rainy day with temperatures not hitting the 50’s in State College, Pennsylvania. As we saw last week when the Iowa football team had a windy day at Kinnick, this team is built to win in a variety of different ways. Against Penn State, they will have to employ that variety as it’s crucial to winning this game and one of our three keys to victory.

If you are unable to attend in person (or don’t feel like dealing with the weather) and do not have access to ESPN, the game can be streamed for free with a free weekly trial on FuboTv.

When you tune into the game, there will be a few guys missing from the game. Linebacker Jack Hockaday is back, but corner Matt Hankins is still recovering from his nagging injury according to Kirk.

"We’ll see. He’s not 100% right now. We’ll see what it looks like by the end of the week. He’s not 100% right now."

Also likely out for the game is fullback Brady Ross who is still recovering from a leg injury.

These injuries likely didn’t play too much in to the Vegas odds, but the Iowa football team is definitely not getting the love from Vegas. Currently, Oddsshark.com has Iowa listed as a 6.5 point underdog. The over/under for the game is set at 51.5 points which is a little aggressive considering the likelihood that this game will be won on the ground and not through the air.

Next. How is the Big Ten West shaping up after eight weeks?. dark

I don’t personally care what Vegas thinks because I believe the Iowa football team has a good chance at coming away victorious from this game if they play a good game of football. As you are watching make sure to tune into our twitter thread where we will be providing in-game takes and analysis.
