We are 24 hours away from kickoff, and the Iowa football team is set to face off against Maryland. Here is the game-time info you need to know.

Despite being a Big Ten conference game, there isn’t much of a history between these two opponents. Maryland just joined the Big Ten this decade, and the Iowa football team has only been able to play them twice since that point. Saturday’s game will be the third matchup in the history of these two programs and just the second at historic Kinnick stadium.

The Iowa football team is coming off a dominating victory against the Indiana Hoosiers that helped them jump into the national rankings and resulted in numerous players receiving awards for their weekly accomplishments including Nate Stanley, Anthony Nelson, TJ Hockenson, and Noah Fant.

Although Maryland isn’t ranked, this is a very important game for an Iowa football team that has great aspirations for the college football postseason. Needless to say, it’s pertinent that the Hawks walk away victorious, and here are our three matchups they need to win in order to do so.

Game time kickoff for this Big Ten game is 11 AM at Kinnick Stadium where the weather is supposed to be very fall-ish. Cooler weathers and windy conditions should make it interesting for an Iowa football team that has done so well through the air in six games this season.

If you aren’t able to get a ticket to the game (tickets are as low as $55), then you can find the game on ESPN2. If you don’t have access to ESPN2, you can stream the entire game through FuboTV with a free one week trial.

Injuries & Odds

If you get a chance to watch the game, you’ll notice a few guys will not be suiting up. Kirk addressed the Iowa football team’s injuries in his Tuesday media conference.

"Brady left the game the other day, Brady Ross. He’ll be out this game, probably a couple. We will see how that goes. It’s going to take a couple weeks at least to heal.I mentioned Jack, doesn’t look good. I guess doubtful is the right term. I would not count on him being back with us.On the positive side, Ivory started practicing yesterday morning with us. Nick Niemann the same way. I think both those guys will be ready to go on Saturday, bearing the week."

Furthermore, similar to the last two weeks, freshman Julius Brents and Riley Moss are likely to start again as Michael Ojemudia and Matt Hankins continue to get healthy.

These injuries didn’t  have much of an impact on the odds though. Iowa is still favored to win by 9.5 points, while the over/under is set at 45 which is a little low considering Iowa has averaged that the last two weeks.
