Cream of the crop in the Big Ten West

Despite their loss last week, the Wisconsin Badgers still remain the cream of the crop in the Big Ten West. The beauty of college football is anyone can win on any given Saturday so Saturday’s loss could very well be an anomaly in Wisconsin’s season.

Unfortunately for the Badgers, they face a tough test heading to Kinnick to face off against an Iowa football program that is 3-0 and just barely missed out on being ranked inside the AP top 25. Of importance is that the game is at night.

Not only is Wisconsin coming off a disappointing home loss but they are facing a tough Iowa team that matches up well against them at one of the toughest places to play in the country with the added difficult that they play at night. Kinnick at night is incredibly difficult, especially for ranked teams.

As we begin the first real week of Big Ten conference play, the rankings of teams in the Big Ten West will begin shaking out and becoming a little more clearer.

Regardless of the outcome, Saturday is going to be a fun day for Big Ten football.
