Iowa CB Josh Jackson drafted by the Green Bay Packers
By Devin Keller
Iowa corner back Josh Jackson has been picked by the Green Bay Packers in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Josh Jackson, Iowa corner-back, has been selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft (45th overall). This selection will keep Jackson in the mid west, one state away from the ‘Hawkeye State’.
The Packers may have gotten one of the biggest steals of the draft for defensive backs. Lots of mock drafts around the country and from many different analysts had Jackson going in the first round. However, after many, many defensive backs were called before him, he had to wait until the next day to hear his name called. Although he wasn’t a first-rounder, he will still be just as big as a player as he is set out to be. The Packers is the absolute best place that Josh would’ve landed, and we are all so glad, even if you aren’t a Packers fan.
It is definitely going to be sad to not see No. 15 on the defense next Hawkeye football season. But, he definitely made some incredible, memorable plays during the 2017 football season. We will certainly not forget the one-handed catch against No. 6 Ohio State on November 4th, 2017.
If you’re a Green Bay fan, you can definitely expect to see plays like that during his NFL career. The Packers are extremely lucky to have a guy like Josh Jackson on the defensive backfield covering the passes. Jackson is going to have a magnificent career, and we all cannot wait for the season to begin.
