Iowa moves up three spots this week in the power rankings after splitting its two matchups last week.  Iowa had one of its best all around performances of the year in a win over Minnesota on Tuesday.  However, like a lot of this season for the Hawkeyes, consistency has been an issue.  Iowa followed that great performance against Minnesota with a dud on the road at Penn State.  The Hawkeyes were dominated in every facet of the game and the result was a 82-58 defeat to PSU.

This could be a very rough week coming up for the Hawkeyes.  Iowa will host Michigan State on Tuesday night in the first and only meeting between those two teams.  Iowa will then follow that game with a trip to Columbus to take on Ohio State Saturday night.  The combined conference record of Iowa’s opponents this week is 21-3.  Good luck to Iowa, but I don’t see it going very well.
