Purdue just keeps on winning.  After two more wins last week, the Boilermakers have now won 19 consecutive games and have begun conference play 12-0.  On Thursday night, Purdue was tested, but was never truly in danger of losing in a 75-67 win over Maryland.  However, Saturday afternoon, Purdue was tested by Rutgers.  Despite never trailing in the second half, Rutgers was right in the game until the very end, but Purdue made its free-throws late and held on for a 78-76 win.

Despite the 12-0 start, Purdue has not had the tougest schedule this season.  Although Purdue has two wins over Michigan, this week Purdue will really be tested.  Purdue will face the two teams directly behind them in the standings this week.  On Wednesday night, Purdue will host 11-1 Ohio State in the first and only meeting between the two team.  It will follow that up with a road test at Michigan State on Saturday afternoon.  There is no doubt Purdue is great, but this week will still be a great measuring stick for them.
