Iowa Basketball: Hawkeyes Climbing The Rankings In Big Ten

2. Michigan State (22-3, 10-2)

With all of the top teams in the conference, not a lot of movement is going on at the top of these power rankings. Michigan State stays at 2nd in this week’s rankings after two hard fought victories last week. MSU fell behind by as much as 13 on Wednesday night against Penn State but Cassius Winston and Miles Bridges led a 52 point second half en route to a 76-68 win. Then on Saturday night, Michigna State overcame a horrendous performance on the boards in a win over Indiana. Michigan State continues to pick up wins despite all the noise surrounding Tom Izzo and the basketball program.
The Spartans will have two more games this week, starting with a Tuesday night road contest at Iowa. Then, this weekend sets up for arguably the best game of the College Basketball season. Purdue will travel to East Lansing to take on Michigan State Saturday afternoon. It will be the iirst time the two teams will play this season.
