5. Michigan (19-6, 8-4)
Last Week: 5

Michigan took care of its home court last week, getting two wins.  Yet the Wolverines stay at the number five slot in the power rankings.  Michigan overcame poor shooting and a slow start to take care of Northwestern Monday night.  Then on Saturday, the Wolverines shot an impossibly bad 12/28 (42.9%) from the free-throw line to get a come-from-behind overtime win over Minnesota.  Michgan overcame two poor offensive performances and remains in contention for the double bye in the Big Ten Tournament.

After two home games last week, Michigan will have a couple road contests this week.  Michigan will travel to Evanston for a rematch with Northwestern.  The Wolverines will follow that with a Sunday afternoon game against Wisconsin.  A win on Tuesday will go a long way towards Michigan avoiding the logjam in the middle of the conference.
