Maryland continues to fall in these rankings after continuing to lose close games.  Maryland had two losses this week.  The first was another close 71-68 loss at Indiana.  On Sunday, Maryland had another chance to get a good win on its NCAA Tournament resume and failed.  For one half, it looked as though Maryland was going to finally.  However, what was a 37-24 halftime lead quickly turned into a Michigan State win.  Maryland continues to lose close games as this young team continues to make mistakes late in crunch time.

The upcoming schedule certainly does Maryland no favors.  After the Sunday loss to Michigan State, the Terrapins turn around and play at Purdue on Wednesday night.  It is another opportunity to get a big win for Maryland, and they are running out of time to pad their resume.  After Purdue, the Terps return home to Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon.
