6. Penn State (14-9, 5-5)

Penn State makes a massive jump this week, moving up 5 spots from 11 to 6.  Penn State continued its jekyll and hyde ways this week.  Just when I was about to give up on them, the Nittany Lions go into Columbus and become the first team to beat Ohio State in conference play.  Tony Carr 28 points in that game, including a circus shot at the buzzer.  The Lions followed that up with a 60-43 dominating performance vs Rutgers.  This team has the talent to play with anybody as this week showed, but it is just a matter of putting it together for Penn State.

Penn State will have another tough road contest in the first of its two games this week.  PSU will head to East Lansing to take on Michigan State on Wednesday night.  Then the Nittany Lions return home Saturday night to face Iowa.  If Penn State wants a chance at postseason play, they need to avoid bad losses.
