Coming off a week in which Iowa lost two games in blowout fashion, it needed to come back and gain some positive momentum.  Iowa did just that with a win on Tuesday but followed that up with another poor defensive game in a loss at Nebraska.  It’s time to see if the win helped the Hawks in our weekly Big Ten power rankings.

It was an interesting week of basketball in the Big Ten.  Ohio State suffered its first loss in league play and Illinois was able to get its first win.  Two of the Big Ten championship contenders also got huge road wins on Sunday.  Now as we are halfway through Big Ten play, we are starting to see the good teams separate from the bad teams as the middle of the pack is no longer as crowded as it once was.

Here at Dear Old Gold we provide an update on the Big Ten with our weekly power rankings.  The rankings do not directly reflect the standings, it is more on how the team is playing currently.  Here are the rankings for this week.
