Iowa Basketball Hawkeyes Remain Near Bottom In Our Big Ten Rankings
By Kenny Levine
1. Purdue (19-2, 8-0)
Last Week: 1
Another week, two more dominating performances from the Purdue Boilermakers. It started with a Tuesday night beating of the Wisconsin Badgers. It ended with an even better performance Saturday afternoon against Iowa. Purdue is firing on all cylinders and has now won 15 consecutive games since losing back-to-back games in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. Carsen and Vincent Edwards both look like candidates for Big Ten player of the year.
Purdue might have a tougher time dominating teams this week. Thursday night Michigan travels to West Lafayette. The Wolverines should have some confidence, having already won at Michigan State on January 13. That game will be followed by a trip to Assembly Hall to take on Indiana. Even though on paper, Purdue seems like a much better team, anything can happen in a rivalry game and Assembly Hall is always tough on opponents.
