Last Week: 8

Nebraska makes a huge jump this week, from 8 last week all the way up to 4th this week.  The Cornhuskers look like one of the surprise teams in conference play.  The Huskers almost had a major setback earlier this week, but James Palmer Jr. saved them.  His buzzer beating three pointer gave Nebraska a 64-63 win over Illinois.  Nebraska followed that performance up with a dominating 72-52 victory over Michigan, hence a large reason why the Huskers are ahead of the Wolverines this week.

Nebraska has three games this week.  It starts with a road test at Ohio State Monday night.  They then travel to Piscataway to face Rutgers on Wednesday, followed by a return home to Pinnacle Bank Arena to take on lowly Iowa on Saturday night.  Nebraska has a real chance to be a darkhorse candidate given its remaining schedule.  They do not play Michigan State, Purdue, Michigan or Ohio State after Monday.
