Iowa Basketball: Big Ten Power Rankings, Hawkeyes Move Up From The Bottom
By Kenny Levine
Penn State has had an interesting season. There were high expectations for the team that returned all five starters. However, to this point Penn State has been very inconsistent and that trend continued last week. The Nittany Lions lost at Indiana on Tuesday and then turned around and beat Nebraska in overtime on Friday. The Lions have talent, but it struggles to close games. Despite winning against Nebraska, they still blew a big lead in that game.
Penn State has two winnable games this week. It takes on a Minnesota team that, as we mentioned, is in complete disarray. That game is at home. It then takes its talents on the road when it faces Northwestern Saturday afternoon. Penn State has NCAA Tournament talent on its roster, it’s just a matter of them putting it all together.
