Iowa Basketball: Big Ten Power Rankings, Hawkeyes Move Up From The Bottom
By Kenny Levine
13. Iowa (10-9, 1-5)
For the first 15 minutes or so, it looked as though Iowa was going to drop its sixth consecutive game to start Big Ten play. However, Luka Garza, Jordan Bohannon and Tyler Cook lead a terrific Iowa comeback in the second half. Iowa held on for an overtime win over the Illini to get its first conference win this year. As a result, the Hawkeyes move up one spot to 13 this week.
Iowa only played one game last week and will have nearly a week off. Iowa will have its third road game in a row on Wednesday when it will play at Rutgers. That is followed up by a home game against a Purdue team that looks like a national championship contender.
