5. Maryland (14-5, 3-3)
Last Week: 5

I continued to go back and forth between Indiana and Maryland for the fifth and sixth spots in the power rankings.  Ultimately I picked Maryland for the fifth spot because hen i watch both of them play, I still think they are a better team than Indiana.  Maryland only had one game this week and took it on the chin.  The Terps were dominated by Ohio State in Columbus on Thursday.

Maryland has another chance to get a big road win tomorrow night when it plays Michigan at Crisler Center.  After that, Maryland will return home to the Xfinity Center Thursday night when it hosts Minnesota.  In a down year for the Big ten, a bubble team like Maryland will need to take advantage of its chances to get wins against teams like Ohio State and Michigan.
