Iowa Basketball: Weekly Big Ten Power Rankings

12. Northwestern (10-7, 1-3)
There is a real argument that Northwestern has been the most disappointing team in college basketball this season. The Wildcats are coming off its first ever NCAA Tournament appearance and returned four starters and its top three bench players. However, the Wildcats can’t seem to figure it out this year. One game the offense stinks, and the next game it is the defense.
The Wildcats dropped both of its games this week to fall to 1-3 in Big Ten play. Its only win is an overtime victory over winless Illinois. Northwestern looked lost on offense without Bryant McIntosh in a 70-55 loss vs Nebraska. However, with McInotsh back in the lineup, it wasn’t any better for Northwestern. Lamar Stevens of Penn State went off for 30 points in the Wildcats loss to the Nittany Lions on Friday. The Wildcats look to turn its season around against reeling Minnesota on Wednesday.
