Iowa Basketball: Weekly Big Ten Power Rankings

13. Illinois (10-7, 0-4)
Illinois, like Iowa, still has not registered a conference win so far this year. The two teams play this Thursday so something has to give. The reason why I have Illinois ahead of Iowa is because the Illini have been close in its games. Illinois started off conference play in early December with consecutive overtime losses at Northwestern and vs Maryland.
This past week, Illinois lost by ten points to both Minnesota and Michigan. The Illini hung around in both contests, which were on the road, but ultimately could not get the wins. This team plays hard for Brad Underwood but it still looks like it could be a long year for Illinois.
