Yes, Michigan State lost this past week.  So why are they number 1?  Simply because losses happen and despite getting run out of the gym against Ohio State, Michigan State is still the best team in the Big Ten.  Miles Bridges is still a stud, plus Cassius Winston, Joshua Langford and Nick Ward are all making major strides in their sophomore seasons.  The Spartans have the most talent and the best team in the Big Ten.  One loss does not change my mind of that.

Michigan had a dominating performance last Thursday in a win over Maryland at home before running into a buzzsaw in Columbus to the tune of an 80-64 loss.  I feel really bad for Rutgers and Michigan. Both have to come into East Lansing and battle with a Michigan State team that probably won’t be too happy.
