The Canes have never appeared in the ACC title since they have left the Big East. That is simply amazing since they have been picked in the preseason by many to reach it a few times but to no avail. Walton is the most experienced player offensively and with a solid offensive line and a green QB, this Canes back will look to shoulder the load. With a huge performance and a victory over teams such as Notre Dame and or Florida State, Walton could sneak in as a dark horse for the award.
