Key Player: QB Luke Falk
Defense is never a major weapon that the Cougars have possessed, so as usual the squad will look to outscore the opposition. Falk is a great guy to have at the disposal and is primed to become the greatest Cougar QB in program history.
Key Stat: Luke Falk is about to shatter some records in Pullman. He needs only 421 more passing yards and two more passing touchdowns to become the school’s all-time leaders.
Key Game: 9/9 Boise State
The Cougars could use an early season victory like this one to tune them up for Pac-12 play. While Wazzu is a lock to reach the postseason, they would prefer a premier bowl bid and an early victory against a respectable foe.
