6) Clemson Tigers
Key Player: QB Kelly Bryant
The schedule is no walk in the park out of the gates so it is imperative that Bryant wins the job and plays well. If they have to turn to true freshman Hunter Johnson, it could spell doom as Auburn and Louisville are capable of rattling the youngster. Bryant is a solid athlete that will help buy time for receivers to get open. Early on in the season when defenses usually are in sync, Bryant must focus on the little things if Clemson wants to maintain as a national contender.
Key Stat: New Heights
Clemson is coming off a school record of 10+ wins in six straight seasons. Clemson is easily one of the five best programs in the nation over the last few years as they have dominated the competition. With eight more wins, Dabo Swinney will also hold the record for most wins in Clemson history.
Key Game: 11/1 Florida State
Clemson has had the upper hand recently and they have been nearly unbeatable at home. The last time they played while both were in the top 10 was back in 2013, where the Noles ambushed them 51-14.
