Projecting The Preseason Top 25: Did The Hawkeyes Make The Cut?

9) Oklahoma State Cowboys
Key Player: QB Mason Rudolph
A potential first or second rounder, Rudolph is the real deal. His arm is underrated since most may look at the system Mike Gundy has at his disposal. The weapons this team has is filthy, but without an NFL QB making the decisions, it would be tough to have the expectations they currently have. This is the team to watch at potentially running the table and averaging close to 50 points a game.
Key Stat: The Cowboys have won consistently before, but not quite to this standard. They are trying to win 10 games for the third straight season, which is something they have never done in program history.
Key Game: 9/23 TCU
The matchups against Texas and Oklahoma may end up being huge since they are later in the season, but the Cowboys better be wary of this game. The Horned Frogs are destined for a breakout season and the winner of this game in my eyes will end up winning the Big 12 title game. Points will be flowing in this one, but I argue that the Cowboys will not see another better defense all the regular season.
