14) LSU Tigers

Key Player: RB Derrius Guice

Leading the SEC in rushing yards and touchdowns is never a bad thing, especially when you weren’t even the season long starter. Leonard Fournette is not there to take some of the workload away so look for Guice to represent the SEC yet again in rushing and possibly some awards as well. Arguably the best runner in the nation, Guice is primed to lead the Bayou Bengals back to national relevance.

Key Stat: Somehow, someway the Tigers have not been able to put together an entire season of consistency. The talent has always been there and while it is awfully tough to feed talented receivers without a solid quarterback, there is no excuse for this fact. The last time LSU made a BCS/NY6 bowl was in 2011 when they lost to Alabama in the BCS national championship. Since that moment, the offense has struggled and the program has lost a bit of their ways.

Key Game: 10/14 Auburn

The week prior, LSU goes to Gainesville to exact revenge from last season’s goal-line debacle. Win or lose they must be up for Auburn in a game that will swing their season one way or another. The game will be huge since the runner-up of the West is almost a lock to represent the conference in a NY6 bowl that has Top 10 implications on the line. Of course there is a chance that a win in this game will propel to even greater heights, such as dethroning Alabama and competing for all the marbles.
