September 9th 2017 @ Iowa State

Record In 2016: 3-9 (No Bowl Appearance)

Record All Time Vs Iowa State: 42-22

Second year coach Matt Campbell is trying to get a statement win in his ‘A Storm Is Brewing’ marketing campaign. Beating the rival Hawkeyes this season is no doubt the goal of the Summer plans in Ames.

Hawkeye coaches including OC Brian Ferentz are already annoyed by the Cyclones and Gophers recruiting tactics. Things look up for the Clones this season with the return of tackle Jake Campos as well as star wide receiver Allen Lazard.

The Cyclones played Big 12 teams Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Oklahoma close last season. They need to take the next step this year, and win a few.

It should be a much more competitive affair at Jack Trice this Fall.
