It’s National Signing Day. The Iowa Hawkeyes currently have 20 commits that will sign their Letter of Intent today, while Iowa will continue to try to add a couple of more players.
On Tuesday, Iowa added their 19th recruit in safety Geno Stone, who originally committed to Kent State. Stone is 5’11”, 190 pounds and a three-star recruit that 247Sports ranks as the 21st best high school prospect in Pennsylvania.

Iowa football got their punter to replace Ron Coluzzi. On Tuesday night, three-star punter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ryan Gersonde, announced his commitment to Iowa. Gersonde took his official visit to Iowa this past weekend and took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame before.
Peter Jok missed his second straight game with an injured back when Iowa traveled to Rutgers on Tuesday night. There is no timetable as to when he will return but Jok was healthy enough to go through shoot around before being ruled out.
The Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year award named Peter Jok a finalist on Tuesday. Jok leads the Big Ten in scoring at 21.0 per game on 38.4 percent three-point shooting, and also contributes 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
He joins James Blackmon Jr (Indiana) as the only Big Ten guards on the list. Duke’s Luke Kennard is the favorite to win the award.
Along with Blackmon and Kennard, Malik Monk (Kentucky), Bryce Alford (UCLA) and Marcus Foster (Creighton), among others, are also on the list. 10 shooting guards total are on the list. Players can be added or removed at any point leading up to the end of the season.
Iowa basketball earned their first true road win of the season and second straight win. Led by Jordan Bohannon‘s 17 points, four assists and zero turnovers, the Hawkeyes beat Rutgers 83-63 in New Jersey.
The Hawkeyes improved to 13-10 on the year and 5-5 in conference play. They’re now in sole possession of sixth place in the Big Ten and have a chance to get over .500 on Sunday when they host Nebraska.
