Iowa redshirted Isaiah Moss this past season. What kind of impact do you think he’ll have right out of the gate?
Kenny: I think he will play, how much he does remains to be seen. I think Moss gets something like 8-10 minutes a game next season. He was the top recruit in last year’s class and went to Chicago high school powerhouse Simeon, so there is something to like there. Like much of this Iowa team, Moss is very unknown.
Derek: There’s no substitute for in-game experience and no way to completely simulate it, so obviously there will be some time he needs to adjust to the speed of the college game. After that period, however, I see no reason not to expect him to play a role like Dom Uhl played in 2015-16. I believe he is capable of giving Iowa 15-18 quality minutes once he catches up.
Dylan: The redshirt season for Moss probably did him a lot of good. He got to be around a team that was experienced and won a lot of games. He learned a lot and I’d expect him to play around 10-15 minutes per game. None of us have seen him in any game action so it’s a little hard to say how he’ll fare, but the intangibles are all there for Moss to have a really nice redshirt freshman season.
