Point guard is going to be a big question heading into the summer, who will start next fall for Iowa?

Kenny: As I mentioned in the last question, I like Christian Williams to start at the point next season.  Just going off previous seasons, Fran McCaffery typically likes to start players with college experience, unless he has no choice.  This is why I think Fran goes with Williams over freshman Jordan Bohannon at point guard.

Derek: As I already stated, I think it’s Williams’ job to lose, but I’m not sure of how much it would take for him to lose the job. Of course we don’t yet know what Iowa will do with its final scholarship, but right now Williams’ only competition is a player who has never played a second of Big 10 basketball. Incoming freshman Jordan Bohannon should be Williams’ primary reserve, and if he outperforms Williams, it might not be long until he takes the spot.

Dylan: Hate to sound like a broken record, but Williams is the guy here.  Mostly because he’s the only point guard on the team with any game experience, but if Bohannon comes in and plays well he could steal the starting spot.  With Williams’ size he has the ability to play off the ball and let Bohannon run the show.
