Finally a Bohannon that’s coming to Iowa.

Jordan is the fourth Bohannon brother to play division one basketball and the first that’ll do so for the Iowa Hawkeyes.  Jason and Zach both played at Wisconsin, while Matt just finished up his career at Northern Iowa.  Jordan was named Mr. Basketball in Iowa this past season after he led class 4A in made three pointers with 92 total.

He shot 45 percent from the field, 42 percent from behind the arc, and 94 percent from the free throw stripe in his senior season.  He isn’t your typical point guard either.  He’s a tremendous shooter, as you can see by the stats provided earlier.  He’s about 6′ even, so he’s not very big, but he makes up for it with his shot.

From what I have seen, he has pretty good handles, but will need to get a big bigger and stronger to play point guard in the Big Ten.  With Christian Williams being the only point guard on the roster next season, Bohannon may find himself with 10-15 minutes of playing time per game next season.

He could give Iowa another big time three point threat as he is very dangerous from just about anywhere on the court.  If the final scholarship Iowa has goes to a point guard, Bohannon may redshirt a season to get a little stronger and better on the defensive end.

One thing is for sure, no one is questioning his offensive game.  He can compete with the best of them.
