4. Wisconsin (20-11, 12-6)
Last Week: 3

The Badgers slide down 1 spot to number three this week.  The Badgers had won 11 of 12 heading into Sunday’s contest with the Purdue Boilermakers Sunday night.  Mackey Arena is an extremely difficult place to win a ball game and Wisconsin battled the Boilermakers, but fell 91-80 to the Boilermakers.

Nontheless, the Badgers are still a team that nobody wants to see in either tournament in March.  The key for Wisconsin will be who can step up in addition to Nigel Hayes and Bronson Koenig.

The loss to Purdue dropped Wisconsin from the 3rd seed all the way down to the 6th seed in the Big Ten tournament.  Wisconsin will wait to see who its opponent will be.  The Badgers will play the winner of the game against Nebraska and Rutgers.
