9. Penn State (15-14, 6-10)

Last Week: 10

Kudos to Pat Chambers and the Penn State staff for getting the team to still play hard despite some tough losses early in conference play.  Penn State had won 3 in a row and 4 of 5 before they ran into the buzz-saw that is the Michigan State Spartans on Sunday.  Sunday was a rough one for the Lions, as they fell by 30 and Pat Chambers got tossed in the first half.

Nonetheless, the recent hot play by Penn State, including a win earlier in the week over Nebraska is enough to move Penn State up one spot this week.  Penn State has two winnable games to end the regular season with home games against Northwestern and Illinois as they look to continue their climb up the Big Ten standings.
