4. Purdue (22-7, 10-6)
Last Week: 6

Purdue finally got the signature win it had been looking for as the Boilermakers defeated the Maryland Terrapins 83-79 Saturday afternoon.  However, the Boilermakers did all they could to try and give that game away.  Purdue has had all kinds of issues breaking full court pressure, and it almost cost them again on Saturday, but they were able to win.  A.J. Hammons is a beast down low, and the play of Dakota Mathias and the bench in its Saturday win showed how dangerous Purdue can be when they get productive shooting.

Thanks to the win, Purdue moves up two spots to number 4 in this week’s power rankings.  Purdue finishes its season at Nebraska on Wednesday and then plays at home against Wisconsin.
