1. Michigan State (22-5, 9-5)

Michigan State took its lumps at the beginning of Big Ten conference season.  However, over the past few weeks the Spartans have looked like they did at the beginning of the season, and have been playing the best ball in the Big Ten.  Since the Spartans lost at home against Nebraska, MSU has rattled off wins over Maryland, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Indiana, and almost came back from an 18 point deficit at Purdue.

Typical of a Tom Izzo team, Michigan State is playing its best basketball heading into tournament time, which should make the rest of the Big Ten really nervous heading into Indianapolis.
