3. Wisconsin (17-10, 9-5)

This was a spot that was up for grabs, until Wisconsin dominated the final 10 minutes against Illinois to pull off its 8th victory in its past 9 games.  Aside from a loss at Michigan State, the Badgers have been playing great basketball, including being the first big ten team to win at Maryland.

Who thought that after the team lost to Western Illinois, UW-Milwaukee, and Marquette at home out of conference, that we would be talking about them for a tournament bid.  What a job Greg Gard has done with Wisconsin this season.  The Badgers now look like a classic Bo Ryan team built on defense and efficient offense.  If Nigel Hayes stays for his senior season, this team will be very dangerous next season.
