Tight Ends

1st: George Kittle (Sr.) 2nd: Jameer Outsey (So.)

Kittle was a big part of the offense this past year, despite playing second fiddle to Henry Krieger-Coble. With Coble graduating and probably moving onto the NFL, Kittle will get a chance to build on a season where he caught 20 passes for 290 yards and a team-leading six touchdowns.

While Kittle appears to be a sure thing, the bigger question may be how well sophomore, Jameer Outsey, can replace Kittle as a second tight end. Greg Davis and Brian Ferentz ran a lot of two tight end sets last year. Outsey, a converted sophomore quarterback/defensive end from New Jersey, will have a chance to prove he is worthy of replacing Kittle as the second tight end in those sets.
