Brian Ferentz Heading To Houston?

According to Alex Marvez, a reporter for fox sports one, Iowa offensive line coach Brian Ferentz could be heading to the Houston Texans to join new coach Bill O’Brien’s team.

Ferentz, who is in his second year as the Hawkeye offensive line coach, spent his first four coaching years with the New England Patriots.  He also has a lot of experience on the offensive line as he was a three year lettermen under his father, Kirk Ferentz, at the University of Iowa.

He played on some successful teams at Iowa and is a proven winner as he coached good teams with the New England Patriots too.  That is probably what catches O’Briens eye.

Nothing can be confirmed yet, but it looks like this could be true.

As a Hawkeye fan you want to be happy for him if this is indeed true, but it’d be a big loss for the Iowa Hawkeye coaching staff because he knows the system and he teaches it better than anyone.
